The Design phase of the ToC has officially begun and our teams are ready to get to work. We had an amazing kickoff on Friday, September 6th. Nearly 200 design team members came together for a day of training, planning, and team-building to officially activate the teams. The Chancellor gave the college a glimpse of their energy and enthusiasm by hosting the September employee town hall from the event. It was great fun to virtually welcome the college and share some of the day’s excitement with everyone.

The launch of our Theory of Change newsletter, Future Focus, coincided with the launch of the design phase. This newsletter will deliver monthly updates about current and future ToC work to all ACC employees. If you missed it, past issues of Future Focus can be found on the Resources page of the ToC website.

Additionally, our Theory of Change Design Team student positions are now live on Handshake through ACC Career Services. Tell your students to search for “Theory of Change” after they log in to Handshake to find the posting. We have so many incredible ACC students that choosing our hires is going to be a challenge, but what a wonderful challenge to have!

You will soon see signs of our first wave of teams gathering information and input across the college. As a reminder, six teams are now fully launched in this first wave of activation: Required Advising, Dual Credit, Paying for College, Academic Tutoring and Coaching, and Meet Basic Needs. The other teams have begun planning and preparing for their future launches. More information about the timing, charge, and membership of each team can be found by through the four pillar pages on the ToC website: Start Strong, Enroll Full-time, Meet Basic Needs, and Belonging & Connection.

Thank you all for your continued support and enthusiasm around this project. It is thrilling to see the wheels finally in motion! I can’t wait to see the innovative work that our design teams are going to produce.
