The following is a general timeline for the Theory of Change process. Follow our progress as we move forward in our planning, design, and implementation efforts.

January 2024 | First 100 Days Report lays foundation for Theory of Change |
February 2024 | Students identify ACC’s values: Courage, Compassion, Joy & Yes! |
March 2024 | First all-college Data Summit to do a deep-dive on challenges and opportunities Theory of Change pillars and strategies identified: Start Strong, Enroll Full-time, Meet Basic Needs, Find Belonging & Connection Strategic Plan Steering Committee becomes the Theory of Change Steering Committee. Theory of Change tri-chairs are named: Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart (Chancellor), Dr. Monique Umprhey (Provost), and Dr. Samantha Croft (Professor). |
April 2024 | Collegewide call for design team nominations |
May 2024 | 800+ Faculty & Staff nominated for design teams and 400+ completed the process for consideration. Design teams identified and assigned to strategies. The co-chairs of each design team announced. Two-day leadership retreat to kick off the Theory of Change process. |
June 2024 | 195 Faculty & Staff are seated on the 14 design teams. |
July 2024 | Design team members attend a virtual touchpoint discussing the structure and timing of the Theory of Change project. |
August 2024 | Design team members attend a virtual touchpoint discussing teamwork dynamics and strategies. |
September 2024 | Day long design phase kick off event for all design team members. |
October 2024 | Theory of Change Institute celebratory kick off event for the 102 participants. |
November 2024 | 10 students hired as members of the 6 Phase 1 design teams. |
