In support of the Theory of Change, the Chancellor is creating a new, leadership program for employees, called the Chancellor’s Leadership Institute (CLI). The annual program begins with its inaugural cohort in fall 2024. Members will meet monthly and host discussions and presentations throughout the year. A new cohort will be selected and launch each fall.
The Charge
Members of the CLI will share in the Chancellor’s approach regarding radical transparency and radical simplicity as the college moves forward with the work on our Theory of Change.
The Chancellor’s Leadership Institute is a year-long program for ACC leaders. The objectives are:
- Create space for relationship building between cohort members and seeding a professional community of mutual support across their divisions of the college.
- Strengthen relationships between participants and the Chancellor.
- Build participant understanding of ACC as a complex organization in transition and awareness of the contemporary community college landscape.
- Provide content and training that improves participants’ ability to build healthy and collaborative teams.
- Establish a common language for participants to communicate about ACC’s values, North Star, and TOC work within their own verticals and across areas.
- Empower participants to identify and address bureaucratic inefficiencies impacting their teams and our college.
The CLI Cohort
Austin Community College will follow an inclusive, collaborative, and transparent approach to developing strategies and plans that support the Theory of Change and help both our students and colleagues succeed.
CLI Lead | The CLI lead, Missi Patterson, will be responsible for supporting the Chancellor in developing and managing the CLI through curriculum design, facilitation, and participant support. For questions about the CLI, please contact Missi Patterson – [email protected]
CLI Cohort 1 Members | Cohort members will represent areas of the Chancellor’s Cabinet and will provide guidance and insights to help prioritize and organize the college’s collective work. Cohort recommendations were presented to the Chancellor’s Cabinet for approval.
