On Friday, September 25, the Austin Community College District (ACC) is shutting down routine operations for employees to gather for a full day of big ideas, hands-on workshops, and districtwide connection. 

The 2026 General Assembly (GA) theme, “A Reimagined ACC: Building for What’s Next,” challenges us to think bigger, adapt faster, and design an even stronger future for our students and community.

From TED Talk-style presentations on a reimagined ACC and interactive sessions to a food truck court and resource fair, here is a sneak peek at the day.

The Employee Resource Fair

Meet colleagues from across the College and discover services, tools, and resources available to support your work. Want to showcase your services and resources? Consider showcasing your division’s work at the Resource Fair. Applications are open until Wednesday, September 9.

Food Truck Court

Local food trucks will set up outside in the Highland Parking Lot to provide a wide variety of culinary options for lunch, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Swag Swap 

The College will host a special ACC swag swap. Show Your Riverbat Pride: Vintage ACC T-Shirt Drive is a chance for all Riverbats to clean out their closets and share the Riverbat love. 

First, the College is collecting vintage, laundered ACC T-shirts to help everyone gear up. You can donate items now through September 20 by Intercampus Mail to the ACC Surplus Free Store or at the Truth, Community Healing & Transformation Center in ACC Highland, Building 4000, Room 2205. 

Then on General Assembly Day, stop by the Vintage Shirt Table at the Resource Fair to pick out your new shirt. For questions, please email [email protected].

  • Full-time staffing table employees scheduled to work during the event are required to attend.
  • Adjunct faculty are welcome and encouraged to participate; attendance is optional.
  • Part-time and hourly employees who are usually scheduled to work during the event should consult with their supervisors to determine the most appropriate plan for participation.
