New this year, Austin Community College District (ACC) hosts volunteer training sessions for employees who signed up to volunteer for the College’s Welcome Riverbats tradition.
The sessions will help employee volunteers become more confident in their knowledge so they can better support our students during the first two days of the semester. During the sessions, employees will get help reading student schedules, understanding the building and room numbering system, and navigating using ACC wayfinding maps.
Sessions take place at the four largest campuses:
- Eastview Campus: Monday, August 17
- Round Rock Campus: Tuesday, August 18
- Riverside Campus: Wednesday, August 19
- Highland Campus: Thursday, August 20
Campus managers will send emails with information on how to sign up for a training session.
