The Austin Community College District (ACC) Board of Trustees approved the fiscal year 2022 budget at its July 6, 2021, meeting. The $443 million budget includes a 4 percent raise for all employees and market adjustments for some non-faculty positions.

“I want to reference the incredible work our team did during the pandemic and that ACC actually increased enrollment while most other colleges saw declines,” says Dr. Nan McRaven, ACC Board chair. “On behalf of all the trustees, we are proud of the ACC family and want to recognize their hard work during the pandemic with this 4 percent increase.”

The across-the-board compensation increase results in a $15.60 an hour minimum wage at ACC.

Also included in the budget is $2.5 million in market adjustments for hundreds of non-faculty positions based on the results of a spring 2021 non-faculty market study. Learn more about the market study review process here

Trustees adopted fall 2021 tuition and fee rates at the May meeting, which remain unchanged for the eighth consecutive year.

The budget projects a one-percent increase in enrollment. ACC’s Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration Neil Vickers assured trustees that if enrollment numbers do not meet expectations, that federal Coronavirus relief funds may be used to help offset lost revenues.

The FY2022 budget also leaves $2 million in funds available for new initiatives, such as ERP and the Highland Campus Phase 2 and Rio Grande Campus openings, and $2 million for the implementation of Workday Student this fall.
