Austin Community College (ACC) has purchased access to Mentimeter, a new interactive presentation and audience engagement tool, for all employees.
Mentimeter makes it easy to create interactive polls, questions, quizzes, reflections, and other activities that collect responses in real time. Faculty and staff can use it to check understanding, encourage discussion, gather feedback, and create more engaging experiences in in-person, virtual, hybrid, and asynchronous settings. Mentimeter also includes AI-powered tools that can help faculty quickly create interactive questions, quizzes, and scenario-based activities.
Get Started with Mentimeter
Three one-hour training sessions will be offered for ACC employees in October. Each session will include a live platform walkthrough, practical strategies, and time for questions. Sessions will be recorded and posted to Workday within two weeks of the original session date so those unable to attend can still view the training.
- Engage Every Student with Mentimeter, October 16, 11 a.m.: Participants will explore Mentimeter’s AI-powered features and learn how to create interactive, student-centered learning experiences that support engaging, critical thinking, and deeper understanding across in-person, virtual, and asynchronous classes.
- Mentimeter for ACC Staff: Maximizing Engagement and Impact, October 22, 1 p.m.: Participants will learn how to use interactive presentations, polls, and real-time feedback to engage participants in meetings, workshops, and large-group presentations.
- Mentimeter + Blackboard: Elevate Interaction in Your Courses, October 28, 1 p.m.: Participants will discover how to connect Mentimeter with Blackboard to create interactive activities, track asynchronous participation, and sync results and grades directly to the Blackboard Grade Center.

How to Activate Your Account
To activate your Mentimeter account, go to mentimeter.com/join/austincc and enter your official College email address. You will then be prompted to sign in using your ACC credentials and multi-factor authentication. After signing in, your account will automatically be provisioned with the campus license privileges.
