Austin Community College (ACC) continues to strengthen the organization of Academic Affairs to better support faculty, staff, and students. Beginning August 1, 2026, several organizational updates will take effect to bring related teams closer together, strengthen collaboration, improve operational effectiveness, and better align Academic Affairs with the College’s strategic priorities.
The offices within the Teaching & Learning Excellence Division (TLED) will transition to reporting areas across Academic Affairs where their work most naturally aligns:
- The Office of Academic Technology will move to the Division of Digital Learning, under Dr. Erasmus Addae.
- The Office of Experiential Learning will move to the Division of Professional Technical Education, under Dr. Brandon Whatley.
- The Office of Faculty Development & Evaluation will move to the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, under Dr. Gaye Lynn Scott.
- Library Services will move to the Division of Digital Learning, under Dr. Erasmus Addae.
- Miguel DeLeon, executive assistant, will move to the Division of Strategy and Alignment, under David Borden.
By bringing related teams together, these updates strengthen collaboration, clarify reporting relationships, and create additional opportunities to share expertise across Academic Affairs. The result is an organization that is better positioned to support faculty innovation, student success, and the College’s long-term priorities.
On the importance of streamlining services and aligning efforts, Dr. Gaye Lynn Scott, vice chancellor of Academic Affairs, said, “We believe in collaboration, connection, and cohesion, and we are implementing these moves to support all three. Teaching and learning excellence has never been the sole responsibility of TLED; it is the work of all of us across Academic Affairs, and that work will be aligned and strengthened by these organizational moves.”
Together, these updates create a more connected and cohesive organization while ensuring the high-quality services and support employees rely on continue without interruption.
New Leadership Role Advances Collegewide Strategic Initiatives

Dr. Susan “Susy” Warner-Sanchez will transition to a new role as associate vice chancellor of special projects in the Chancellor’s Office, where she will report to Aaron Henry, administrative chief of staff.
“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to support the Chancellor’s Office and continue serving ACC in this new capacity,” said Warner-Sanchez. “Being entrusted with this opportunity is both an honor and a responsibility, and I look forward to building on the experiences of the past decade leading TLED by helping connect and elevate the outstanding work already happening across the College.”
This work will help bridge divisions, departments, campuses, and teams as we continue moving toward our North Star goal with the Theory of Change at the center. This work will include multilingual strategy, AI, and other emerging priorities that require coordination, alignment, and shared ownership across the College.
On Warner-Sanchez’s move, Aaron Henry said, “I am grateful for the leadership, experience, and collaborative spirit she brings to this work, and I look forward to the impact this new office will have in helping ACC move important initiatives from vision to implementation.”
What Isn’t Changing
The services provided by these offices will continue without interruption. Faculty and staff should continue using the same websites, service request processes, and points of contact throughout the transition. Existing priorities, projects, programs, and initiatives will continue as planned.
Faculty development opportunities—including workshops, conferences, communities of practice, and signature events such as Spring Development Day and General Assembly—will continue as scheduled. Employees directly affected by these reporting changes have already received initial communication from their supervisors. Additional office-specific guidance and updated organizational charts will be shared throughout the transition.
