Employees from across the College gathered on Friday, December 5, at ACC Highland Campus for the final Theory of Change Exchange. The event offered the College community its first opportunity to hear directly from the three Phase 3 Design Teams: Eight-Week Courses & Programs, Vibrant Student Community, and Direct College Matriculation.

Dr. Samantha Croft, ACC Theory of Change Project Manager, and Andrew Mason, Director of Client Services with SWIM Digital Group, opened the event with brief updates from Phase 1 and  2 teams. Phase 1 teams have completed their presentation cycle, and Phase 2 teams will begin their final series of presentations in spring 2026. Several Phase 3 teams are already ahead of schedule as they prepare for continued design work.

Each Phase 3 team introduced its members, shared the data and feedback they have gathered, and outlined the stakeholders they have engaged so far. Teams also presented their emerging problem statements, early areas of alignment, and next steps. Topics included:

  • Scaling eight-week pathways
  • Expanding inclusive and welcoming campus spaces
  • Clarifying enrollment, TSI, and financial aid processes for new students

Recordings of the presentations are available in each team’s respective document repository, accessible via their design team page on the Theory of Change website.

After the presentations, attendees visited team tables, where they could ask questions, provide input, and learn more about the ongoing work.

Employees are encouraged to continue sharing feedback via the Input page on the Theory of Change website.

Theory of Change Network

Employees who wish to continue to hear directly from the Theory of Change Design Teams, as well as ACC Chancellor Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart, may consider applying for the second cohort of the Theory of Change Network. The Network will serve as a central hub for Theory of Change learning, dialogue, and coordination across the College. Learn more here.
