Austin Community College District (ACC) expands access to higher education in Lockhart. This spring, students will see additional course offerings at Lockhart High School and in the historic Ford Building.
The new education and training center located in downtown Lockhart will begin offering hands-on workforce programs in January. The facility will provide specialized classroom and hands-on training spaces for college and career programs. Residents will have the chance to explore the new space during an open house planned for January 29 in Lockhart.
In addition to the new center, ACC also will offer more weekend and evening classes for general education courses, including English, Science, and Math, at Lockhart High School starting spring 2026.
