You’re invited to join ACC’s African American Cultural Center in celebration of Juneteenth, the national day of recognition for the end of slavery. This year’s festivities will take place on Wednesday, June 18, at Eastview Campus and will feature live performances, interactive games, food, and more. The event is free and open to the public.
ACC’s Juneteenth 2025 Celebration

Activities for the day include:
- Live entertainment
- Face painting
- Caricature drawing
- Lawn games
- Free food & giveaways
ACC departments and local organizations will also be on-site to provide valuable resources for our community.
College Closure
In addition to the celebration, ACC will be closed on Thursday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth and in alignment with the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act, which designates June 19 as a federal holiday. Registration remains open. The College will reopen Friday, June 20.
Annual Juneteenth Parade
ACC also will participate in the annual Greater East Austin Youth Association Juneteenth Park Festival and Parade on Thursday, June 19. ACC will have its own float. The parade begins at 10 a.m. near the intersection of Comal St. and E. Martin Luther King Blvd. and ends near Rosewood Park.
