Applications are open for Austin Community College District’s (ACC) Bachelor of Applied Technology in Manufacturing Engineering Technology (BATMET) — and there’s still time to apply for fall 2025.
The new deadline is Sunday, June 15.
Designed for students who already hold an associate degree in fields like Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or other Technical associate degrees disciplines, this program prepares graduates for leadership and project management roles in modern manufacturing.
“Our industry needs people who can lead and problem-solve in modern manufacturing environments,” says Dr. Laura Marmolejo, dean of Advanced Manufacturing at ACC. “This program is designed to fill that gap — and to open doors for professionals who are ready for more.”
Students will take classes at the ACC Highland Campus with both full- and part-time cohorts. It also offers hybrid and online course options, as well as an internship component for all students.

Manufacturing is more advanced, automated, and essential than ever, especially in Central Texas. From semiconductors and aerospace to biotech and clean energy, the region’s manufacturing sector is booming and companies need skilled professionals who can lead, innovate, and grow with the industry.
