The ACC Northridge Library found a fun way to show love and support for students. During the week of April 14-18, librarians will hide rubber duckies throughout the library as part of its Stress ReDUCKtion Scavenger Hunt event.
All ACC students and employees are invited to search for the ducks. Duck hunters who spot one can bring it to the front desk to receive a stress-reducing prize.
This library event is coordinated by Northridge Faculty Librarian Betsy Young to foster enhanced connections within the campus community. When the library first hosted the event in November 2024, more than 40 students and employees participated. Due to its overwhelming popularity, the library decided to bring it back this semester.
“Everyone enjoyed a chance to find cleverly hidden ducks and earn a stress-relieving goodie bag of stickers, fidget tools, and QR codes with links to related ACC Library and Student Support resources,” said Jennifer Ortiz Weber, Northridge Head Librarian. “Most of all, we enjoyed visiting with new and old friends on campus and reminding them of the resources available at the Northridge Library.”
