A Note from the Student Government Association
Ready to go green? The Austin Community College District Student Government Association (SGA) invites faculty and staff to join them for a series of events designed to make our campuses and community cleaner and greener.
The SGA’s Environmental Committee hosts bi-weekly cleanup events at campuses and community spaces throughout the district.
Every other Friday, students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to a campus or community space of the week. The group will work together to remove litter, promote recycling, and enhance the natural beauty of our environment.
“These cleanups not only help reduce pollution and improve the local ecosystem but also foster a sense of civic responsibility and environmental stewardship among participants,” says the SGA. “By joining us, you’ll be contributing to a more sustainable future while connecting with like-minded individuals who are passionate about protecting our planet.”
The next event is a community clean-up:
Date: Friday, December 6
Location: Secret Beach at Roy G. Guerrero Colorado River Metro Park Trail (Austin, TX 78741)
Time: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
