The Austin Community College District (ACC) employee directory is moving. Starting Wednesday, October 9, 2024, the searchable ACC directory will be removed from the College’s public-facing website.
The change comes amid an increase in cybersecurity incidents happening nationwide, some of which have targeted ACC employees and students.
“Protecting our staff and systems from potential breaches is a top priority,” says Jason Marshall, ACC Vice Chancellor of IT. “This is a proactive step to safeguard sensitive information and enhance the overall security of our College. We will continue to adapt our strategies to meet the evolving challenges in cybersecurity.”
Employees who need to search for a colleague’s email address, location, supervisor, or phone number may access this information through that employee’s profile in Workday. To search for an employee’s contact information take the following steps:
- Access the search bar at the top of your Workday homepage.
- Type in the employee’s name.
- Select their profile.
- Look for the employee’s primary contact information under the Summary tab of their individual profile. It will often include the employee’s title, primary office location, phone number, and email address.
Updates to the employee directory will not impact the visibility of departmental or campus information. The public can still look up information for each campus and department.
