Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, celebrated annually in May, is a time to honor and recognize the cultural heritage, contributions, and achievements of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.

In 2024, Austin Community College District (ACC) marks the occasion with several events hosted by the college’s AAPI Cultural Center to provide opportunities for exploring AAPI-themed topics and interests. Participants can enjoy a traditional Chinese Gongfu Cha “tea ceremony;” learn about Go, one of the oldest strategy games in the world; and explore how to foster healthy relationships.
