Austin Community College District (ACC) opened its doors for the first fall semester on September 17, 1973.

To celebrate our 50th anniversary, the college will host a series of activities and events at campuses districtwide Sunday, September 17, through Friday, September 22. Each campus will coordinate special activities unique to their community throughout the week.

The celebration culminates with a large, community-wide event at ACC Highland on Saturday, September 23. “50 Years Later: A Riverbat Homecoming Fest” is open to students, employees, alumni, former employees, and the entire community. The event includes campus tours, simulations and demonstrations, performances, and more from all areas of study and programs from across the district.
