Austin Community College District’s (ACC) Early College High School graduates celebrated their successes at the annual Chancellor’s Reception in May. The program allows students to earn college credits — up to an associate degree — while still in high school.

In the past year, the college supported 13 Early College High School programs across Central Texas.

Both enrollment and student success rates climbed over the past year. According to college data, 2,057 students enrolled in Early College High School programs in fall 2022, and the number of students completing an associate degree is expected to increase from 271 in AY2021 to 321 (based on preliminary numbers) in AY2023.

Several students recently sat down with ACCTV to share more about their experience in the program. Watch the clip below to hear about their journeys.
