Austin Community College District (ACC) has partnered with to help connect young people with high-paying, high-skilled careers through marketing efforts.

ACC Chancellor Dr. Richard Rhodes co-wrote an opinion piece with Roy Spence, chairman of GSD&M advertising and founder of, that appeared in the October 31, 2021, edition of the Austin American-Statesman. 

The effort is part of the Chancellor’s Priorities to reduce equity gaps and help Central Texans get back to work and started on a career path. 

As part of the partnership, the college is creating an innovative and interactive career exploration center inside ACC Highland Campus called the Make It Center to inspire middle and high school students and adults to consider college on the path to a future career.
