Austin Community College District (ACC) is launching a redesigned instructional Program Review process this fall to create a clearer, more consistent, and structured approach to evaluating academic offerings.
The updated process aims to strengthen academic programs, improve student outcomes, and support program stewardship. Instructional leaders will use program-level evidence, academic expertise, and professional judgment to identify opportunities for growth, address challenges, and determine the support needed to improve program effectiveness.
As part of the redesigned Program Review process, ACC is introducing the new Program Effectiveness Scorecard for instructional credit programs. The scorecard aligns institutional goals with external performance-based funding measures. It includes metrics on enrollment, student success, operational efficiency, and post-completion outcomes to help faculty and instructional leaders understand program performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and inform planning and future priorities.
Program Effectiveness Scorecards for all instructional programs will be available to view on the Office of Institutional Research and Analytics (OIRA) website starting Friday, October 23.
Information Sessions and Support
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness (IE) and OIRA will host two virtual information sessions to introduce the metrics and explain how they will be used. All faculty and staff are invited to attend.
