Austin Community College District (ACC) is gearing up for the 2026 midterm elections with a series of events designed to promote civic engagement and connect students with nonpartisan voting resources.
With early voting taking place October 19–30, faculty and staff can help students prepare for Election Day by spreading the word about upcoming ACC Votes activities, including the College’s annual Parade to the Polls and an outdoor concert happening at Highland Campus.
Parade to the Polls Returns
ACC is bringing back its annual Parade to the Polls, giving students an opportunity to celebrate civic engagement before heading together to a nearby voting location.
The events will feature free tacos, local marching bands, and nonpartisan voting resources.
Two events are planned:
Monday, October 19 | Rio Grande Campus Student Life Lounge – Pre-parade rally begins at 4 p.m.
Monday, October 26 | Eastview Campus Courtyard (behind Building 2000) – Pre-parade rally begins at 2 p.m.
Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to participate. Faculty and staff are encouraged to share event details with students through classroom announcements, Blackboard, and other communication channels.
Visit the ACC Elections and Voter Registration events page for more details.
Share Voting Resources with Students
Beyond the events, faculty and staff can help students navigate the voting process by directing them to reliable, nonpartisan resources.
