Dental Plan Administrator Transition

As of September 1, 2026, Humana became the new third-party administrator for the State of Texas Dental Choice PPO and DHMO plans.

Humana replaced Delta Dental, which administered these plans through August 31, 2026. The transition does not change plan benefits, covered services, copays, or coinsurance. The Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) will continue to oversee plan design.

No action is required for ACC employees, retirees, or enrolled dependents. Current participants were automatically transferred to the same dental plan with Humana — unless they made a change during their enrollment period.

While ERS expects substantial overlap between the Delta Dental and Humana networks, employees are encouraged to verify their provider’s participation before the transition. Members can visit your.Humana.com/ERS to confirm whether their dentist participates in Humana’s network and, if needed, explore provider options.
