A new collegewide initiative is set to launch this fall at Austin Community College District (ACC), bringing enhanced digital tools and real-time support resources directly to students. Employees are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the platform details to help guide students during the transition.
The first phase of the Digital Twin platform, featuring the new MyACC Guide and Virtual Assistant, will officially soft launch on Monday, September 8. The platform supports ACC’s commitment to improving the student experience by making important information easier to find and connecting students with the right resources without having to search across multiple webpages or systems.
The phase 1 rollout of this platform prioritizes launching the foundational dashboard and Virtual Assistant chatbot, which provides students with instant answers to common questions, step-by-step guidance, and direct navigation to campus resources.
Students will be able to use the dashboard to:
- Plan ahead with important dates and helpful information.
- Find support services for advising, tutoring, financial aid, technology, and more.
- Access the MyACC Virtual Assistant chatbot to help answer questions and connect them with the right ACC resource or department in the moment.
Student guidance, documentation, and tools for navigating this new platform will be housed at austincc.edu/sts.
Future iterations will create opportunities to advance recommendations from the Tutoring and Coaching Theory of Change Design Team, including new ways for students to find and access academic support.
All employees will receive additional details and messaging once the platform officially goes live. For more information, visit the Digital Twin Project Hub.
