Recognize exceptional Austin Community College (ACC) faculty or staff members by nominating them for an ACC Teaching and Leadership Excellence Award.
Nominations are now open for the ACC Leadership Awards, the ACC Teaching Excellence Awards, the E-Faculty of the Year Award, the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty, and the Minnie Stevens Piper Professor nominee. Recipients will be recognized at the ACC Annual Awards Celebration in spring 2027.

Learn About the Awards and Nominate a Colleague
ACC Leadership Awards honor classified, professional-technical, faculty, and administrative employees who consistently demonstrate excellence in their work and embody ACC’s values of courage, compassion, joy, and yes. They may:
- Serve as mentors to their colleagues or staff members
- Volunteer to help with institution-wide projects
- Provide superior internal and external customer service
- Represent the institution with professionalism and integrity
- Consistently seek improvement of their own skills
ACC Teaching Excellence Awards honor full-time faculty, adjunct faculty, and Workforce Education instructors who:
- Consistently model ACC’s value-based behaviors
- Exemplify the ACC faculty values of teaching, scholarship, inclusion, collaboration, service, and empowerment
- Promote special learning opportunities, meaningful student interaction, and innovation that support student success
Each year, one full-time and one adjunct faculty member are further recognized with the Top Teaching Excellence Award. Each Top Award recipient receives a $1,000 cash award.
The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty honors nursing faculty who:
- Inspire their students to remember that nursing is more than tasks and technology
- Ensure that both the art and science of nursing are brought to every patient experience
The recipient will receive an award at the ACC Annual Awards Celebration, along with a certificate, a special DAISY Award pin, and a Healer’s Touch sculpture.
The E-Faculty of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding ACC faculty member who demonstrates excellence, creativity, and meaningful impact in the design and teaching of online or hybrid courses. Nominees must:
- Be a current ACC full-time or adjunct faculty member who has taught the submitted course within the previous two academic years
- Have played a significant role in designing, revising, or teaching the course, which must have successfully completed an ACC internal course review or recognized Quality Matters course-review process with an overall score of at least 85%
The Minnie Stevens Piper Professor Nominee Award recognizes a current full-time faculty member for excellence and dedication to teaching and scholarly achievement. This statewide award is considered one of the most prestigious awards bestowed upon faculty in the state of Texas. Nominations are accepted from instructional leadership, including associate vice chancellors, deans, department chairs, and the faculty senate.
