Registration is now open for Summer Technology Week, formerly Summer Software Day, taking place June 8-12, 2026. The expanded weeklong event explores people-centered tools across software, hardware, and AV that support teaching, learning, and operations at Austin Community College District (ACC). This is your opportunity to stay current with evolving technology and discover new tools with the ACC community.
Centered on this year’s theme, Intentional Technology: Designing for People First, the event will be delivered virtually via Zoom and features vendor-led sessions Monday through Thursday, followed by practical sessions led by ACC faculty and staff on Friday, June 12.
What You’ll Explore
Participants will engage with emerging tools, proven strategies, and real-world examples they can apply immediately, including sessions from vendors such as Box, Blackboard, Panopto, Qwickly, and Google, along with ACC faculty and staff sharing practical applications of technology in the classroom and beyond.
Sessions will highlight:
- Artificial intelligence tools and their impact on teaching, learning, and workflow efficiency
- Accessible and inclusive design practices for digital course materials
- Assessment and grading strategies that improve feedback and streamline faculty workload
- Student engagement approaches for online, hybrid, and in-person learning environments
- Technology solutions that enhance collaboration and simplify everyday work
