As part of Austin Community College District’s (ACC) ongoing work to strengthen its Classification and Compensation framework, Human Resources is introducing a more consistent process for reviewing position-related requests.
Effective immediately, the standard annual submission window for the following requests will be December 1 through January 31 of each year:
- New positions
- Reclassifications
- Changes to job descriptions
This annual review cycle will support more comprehensive evaluation, better alignment with organizational and compensation strategies, and improved planning across the College.
In limited cases where a request cannot reasonably wait for the annual review period, managers may submit an exception request for off-cycle consideration. Exception requests must include business justification, a funding plan, and divisional approval, and will be reviewed based on operational need and alignment with College policies and compensation practices.
Exception requests can be submitted via a form in TDX.
Additional guidance and reminders will be shared in advance of each annual review cycle.
