The results are in, and ACC has named the winner of the 2026 Earth Week Eco Bag Contest!

Graphic Design student Ash Nischuk took the top spot with a design featuring purple bats at night. 38 students submitted designs this year. Almost 1,000 Riverbats voted across the district to select this year’s winning design.

Ash’s artwork will be printed on reusable cotton tote bags and displayed at campuses across ACC throughout the year.

Second place went to Zander Pritchett, an Environmental Science student, whose design was inspired by native ecosystems. This was their first large-scale graphic design project, combining interests in art and the environment.

The contest is sponsored by ACC’s Office of Energy & Sustainability. For more information about the office and ACC’s environmental efforts, visit austincc.edu/sustainability.
