Join the Teaching and Learning Excellence Division (TLED) and partners in exploring the future of AI in higher education through a riveting and insightful conversation with Rob Cohan, Managing Director at Accenture. Cohan also co-leads Accenture’s global public service generative AI strategy team, advising public institutions on the responsible implementation of AI.
Hosted by Dr. Theresa Glenn, Austin Community College’s (ACC) Dean of Faculty Development and Evaluation, this conversation explores how the rapid evolution of AI is reshaping education and the workforce, and what it means for student preparation and faculty practice.
ACC’s Collegewide AI Implementation Steering Committee is leading the College’s work to understand and shape the role of generative AI. Committee member Stephanie Bogdanich highlights why this effort matters: “Whatever your thoughts are about AI, it’s not a technology that we can ignore,” Bogdanich said,” AI is going to keep changing the way we learn and how humans exist. We have to be vigilant to both be a part of the conversation and keep our students engaged with what this technology means for all of us.”
By gathering input, assessing current practices, and aligning with institutional priorities, the Committee is building a foundation for transparent reporting, effective policies, innovation, and responsible implementation across the College.

- AI isn’t replacing humans — it’s redefining work. The focus is shifting from automation to freeing people to take on more creative and analytical tasks.
- AI literacy will be expected in every field. Graduates must know how to use and discuss AI tools responsibly.
- Traits like curiosity and adaptability matter. Technical skills alone won’t be enough.
- Access and equity are critical. AI can expand opportunity, but only if all learners have access to the tools.
