Austin Community College District (ACC) is gearing up for one of the most meaningful celebrations of the year — our fall commencement ceremony — and we want you to be part of the welcome crew that sets the tone for an unforgettable day.

Volunteer sign-ups are open now for the Welcome Pep Rally, where you can cheer on our graduates as they arrive.

When: Thursday, December 11
Where: The H-E-B Center at Cedar Park
Time: 1:45 – 4 p.m.

Our goal is simple: let’s make every graduate feel celebrated from the moment they arrive.

What Volunteers Will Do

Welcome Pep Rally volunteers will help bring the energy by:

  • Greeting graduates as they arrive
  • Cheering, clapping, and handing out high-fives
  • Creating a warm, joyful environment before the ceremony even begins

This is a two-hour shift that makes a huge impact — and it’s one of the most uplifting volunteer experiences of the year.

There’s Still Time to Sign Up

We’re looking for employees from across the district to join this year’s Welcome Pep Rally team. Whether you’ve served at commencement before or you’re thinking about volunteering for the first time, we’d love to have you.

Your presence matters. Graduates often tell us that the support they feel from ACC faculty and staff on Commencement Day stays with them long after they walk across the stage.
