Registration is officially open for the spring 2026 semester at Austin Community College District (ACC). New and current students can enroll now for classes starting Tuesday, January 20.

Students are encouraged to register early to secure the courses. ACC offers various student services to assist with the registration process, including academic advising, financial aid counseling, and course planning. Students get free access to the College’s full suite of student support services and student life activities throughout the semester.

Highlights for spring 2026

  • Free Tuition Continues: Now in its second year, ACC’s Free Tuition Pilot Program has fueled unprecedented growth and persistence. The program serves more than 10,000 students—accounting for nearly half of the College’s total enrollment gains since 2023. Learn more at austincc.edu/freetuition.
  • Lower Tuition Rates: The ACC Board of Trustees recently approved lowering out-of-state tuition to better align with peer colleges across Texas. Beginning spring 2026, the new out-of-state tuition and fees rate will drop from $335 to $218 per credit hour. All other tuition rates remain unchanged — continuing ACC’s 12-year streak of no tuition increases.
  • Lockhart Enrollment Soars: Enrollment in Lockhart has surged since voters approved annexation in November 2024, growing from under 200 to more than 600 this fall. To meet demand, in spring 2026, ACC plans to open a new center in Lockhart to expand class offerings. The center will feature specialized labs for the College’s skilled trades programs. It’s located at the historic Ford Building in Downtown Lockhart.

ACC offers the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment free of charge to all incoming students. The TSI is a state-mandated placement exam in reading, writing, and math that determines appropriate course placement, helping students start strong on their college journey. Students can take the TSI at any ACC campus Testing Center. For more information, visit austincc.edu/tsi
