The Office of Faculty Development invites all Austin Community College (ACC) faculty and staff to submit a proposal for Spring Development Day (SDD) 2026, taking place Friday, January 16, 2026, from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. online via Zoom.
This spring, we’re calling on you to “Level Up” your teaching, learning, and professional growth. SDD 2026 extends the Faculty Growth Series by building on the Connected Classroom themes from Mini Development Day and pushing them into new, more advanced territory.
Proposals should align with one of the following tracks:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI): Applications, ethics, and innovations shaping the future of teaching and learning, or professional skills.
- Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Approaches that create adaptable, inclusive learning environments.
- Belonging, Purpose, & Connection (BPC): Building authentic community and fostering student engagement or a professional sense of belonging at the College.
- Staff Professional Growth: Leadership development, team dynamics, health, and wellness.

Workshop Schedule
The scheduled workshop times are:
- 9–10 a.m.
- 9–11:15 a.m. (extended session)
- 10:15–11:15 a.m.
- 1–2 p.m.
- 1–3:15 p.m. (extended session)
- 2:15–3:15 p.m.
Whether you’re ready to share strategies, explore innovations, or guide colleagues through a hands-on quest, this is your opportunity to help our ACC community level up together. Accepted presenters will be notified by the second week of December.
