A sabbatical is more than time away from work—it’s an opportunity to reflect, grow, and explore ideas that shape your professional journey while contributing meaningfully to Austin Community College District (ACC).
Important Update: Sabbatical Process Under Revision
The Sabbatical Rubric and Proposal Guide are currently being revised to better align with ACC’s Administrative Rule and the Chancellor’s priorities. Going forward, proposals should emphasize projects that:
- Create transformational, collegewide impact
- Differ significantly from your current job responsibilities
As part of this update, the previous application steps and forms have been temporarily removed from the website.
The updated process will officially launch during our first Sabbatical Process Deep Dive session on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
