The Office of the Vice Chancellor of Instruction (VCI), in partnership with the Office of Faculty Communications, has launched a new video series highlighting the people behind the work. The series is designed to help faculty and staff put faces to names and better understand the leadership team guiding instruction at Austin Community College (ACC).

“ACC is mission-driven, and our instructional leaders come to work every day centering ACC’s mission in their work. We believe in the mission, and we have personalized ACC’s mission by crafting individual purpose statements to answer the question ‘Why?’ Why do we celebrate our work? Why do we find joy in our work? Why do we recommit to our work day in and day out? As instructional leaders, we believe in the power of education, and we lead ACC’s broad and deep educational efforts with purpose, passion, and a clear commitment to our ‘why,’” said Dr. Gaye Lynn Scott, vice chancellor of instruction.

Watch the short videos below to hear directly from ACC’s instructional leaders as they share their “Why Statements” and reflect on their roles in advancing teaching and learning across the College.
