Austin Community College District (ACC) announces the soft launch of two new AI-powered tools — designed to support teaching, learning, and administrative excellence.
Gemini, Google’s AI-powered assistant, and NotebookLM, an AI-powered research and organizational tool, launched on Monday, August 4.
These two new tools are available to both students and employees.
What can I do with these tools?
Gemini provides access to AI-powered tools such as content generation, drafting assistance, and summarization within Google Workspace, while NotebookLM is designed to help users synthesize information across multiple sources.
Both tools can assist with tasks such as drafting emails, summarizing documents, generating content, analyzing data, and organizing notes—helping you work more efficiently and effectively.
How do I access the tools?
Gemini can be accessed at gemini.google.com when signed in to your ACC Google account or by selecting the grid icon in the top-right corner of your Google Workspace dashboard.
Notebook LM can also be accessed by selecting the grid icon in the top-right corner of your Google Workspace dashboard or by accessing notebooklm.google.com.
