Spring Commencement caps historic year with more than 3,300 students invited to walk the stage

Austin Community College District (ACC) celebrates its largest graduating class at the Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremony. More than 3,300 students are invited to cross the stage this semester — pushing the total number of graduates for the 2024-25 academic year to more than 7,200. This marks a record-breaking milestone, a 7% increase from last year.

“This is why we do what we do. Commencement is more than a ceremony — it’s a celebration of the strength, brilliance, and determination our students show every day,” says ACC Chancellor Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart. “This is a transformational moment — not just for our students, but for our entire community. These future leaders, essential workers, and problem-solvers will shape Austin’s economy and culture. They are proof that when we remove barriers and put students first, lives are changed.”
