On Wednesday, April 30, the entire ACC community is invited to wear denim as a way to demonstrate support for survivors of sexual assault and reject victim blaming.
The day, dubbed Denim Day, was sparked by an Italian Supreme Court ruling that overturned a rape case, claiming the victim’s tight jeans meant she consented. In protest, women in the Italian Parliament and around the world wore jeans to support the victim and reject victim-blaming.
You can show your support by rocking your denim and posting your outfit using the hashtag #SupportSurvivors.
