Hundreds of employees—approximately 200 in person and 380 online—tuned in to the first collegewide opportunity to hear directly from the Theory of Change Design Teams on Friday, February 28. Attendees were able to hear presentations from the six Phase 1 teams during the 2-hour Theory of Change Exchange at ACC Highland Campus.

Dr. Samantha Croft, ACC Theory of Change Project Manager, and Andrew Mason, Director of Client Services with SWIM Digital Group, the consultant hired to assist with the process, kicked off the event. They said this is one of several input opportunities during the academic year 2025.

The six Theory of Change Phase 1 Design Teams that presented were:

  • Required Advising
  • Dual Credit
  • Demonstrated Practices of Caring for Employees
  • Academic Tutoring & Coaching
  • Paying for College
  • Basic Needs

During their presentations, team representatives introduced the team, shared data they had collected, provided the list of stakeholders they had and will engage with, shared their problem statements and grounding reports, and listed their next steps.

After the presentations, in-person attendees were able to engage directly with all of the design teams. They set up tables outside the Highland Campus presentation hall to provide faculty and staff with information, gather feedback, and answer questions.

All attendees were encouraged to complete the Theory of Change Spring Employee Survey. Employees have until Friday, March 14, to complete the survey. All students, employees, and community members can also provide feedback anytime through the Input page on the Theory of Change website.

The Theory of Change Exchange for the Phase 2 Design Teams will take place on May 9. More details are forthcoming.
