Austin Community College District (ACC) will be closed on Monday, January 20, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Employees are reminded to set up their out-of-office voicemail and email messages.

In honor of the day, ACC will participate in an event to honor Dr. King’s life and contributions. The event is free and open to the public. 

  • Austin MLK Day March | 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. EVENT CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER
    • The annual community march celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy. Participants will gather at the Martin Luther King Jr. Statue at The University of Texas for a short program, followed by a march to the Texas State Capitol. Afterward, festivities will continue at Huston-Tillotson University, featuring food, music, and local vendors.

Registration for spring classes remains open through the weekend. The spring semester begins Tuesday, January 21.
