Austin Community College District (ACC) invites you to the 2024 Distance Education Symposium, November 6-7. The Office of Distance & Alternative Education hosts the event in celebration of National Distance Learning Week.
The theme of this year’s virtual symposium is “Top AI Issues Impacting Distance/ Digital Learning in The Year 2024.” The symposium is open to ACC faculty, staff, administrators, students, and guests.

In addition to a keynote presentation, there are three session times each day.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Jason Gulya, Professor of English and Chair of the Artificial Intelligence Council at Berkeley College, where he teaches both onsite and online courses in writing and the Humanities. His work centers on Generative Artificial Intelligence and its impact on the future of writing. He was recently featured by Business Insider for his innovative ChatGPT prompting techniques, and in 2020, he was named Berkeley’s Faculty of the Year.
