Austin Community College District (ACC) kicked off its Parade to the Polls series at the Highland Campus on Tuesday, October 22.
The event featured a spirited marching band, students, staff, and community members walking together to a nearby polling location. Participants enjoyed free food, drinks, and music before the parade.
The events are part of ACC’s initiative to promote civic engagement and help students and the community make their voices heard.
Parades to the Polls continue through early voting, which runs from October 21 to November 1. Additional events are planned for other ACC campuses, including Cypress Creek, Rio Grande, Riverside, and Eastview. The general election is Tuesday, November 5.
