Austin Community College District’s (ACC) Advanced Manufacturing & Semiconductor teams hit the road to highlight the College’s unique programs and offerings. The departments connected with about 500 students and young professionals at the YTexas Leadership Academy Summit at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in October.

The event allowed ACC’s representatives to engage with potential students and industry business leaders in Texas.

ACC is recognized nationally as a leader in advanced manufacturing and semiconductor workforce training. The College’s Advanced Manufacturing program offers a full spectrum of stackable credentials starting with dual credit programs for high school students who want to earn entry-level skills certificates to associate degree programs and even a bachelor’s degree program to help students advance in their careers.

By showcasing these opportunities at the summit, ACC is strengthening its position as a workforce leader and expanding its network of industry partners, which could lead to increased internship opportunities, job placements, and collaborative projects.
