In an effort to optimize the hiring process, ACC’s Office of Human Resources (HR) is launching a comprehensive strategy designed to reduce hiring times and improve overall efficiency.
By the end of 2024, HR aims to implement a series of actions, with the end goal of a 30-day recruit-to-hire (R2H) time by January 2026.
Key Actions to be Implemented by the End of 2024:
- Merging Teams for Streamlined Processes: The Compensation and Employment teams will merge under a single Talent Acquisition and Compensation Manager. This integration aims to streamline the R2H process, reducing delays that typically arise from dependencies between specialized teams.
- Procedural Redesign and Cross-Training: HR will undergo a procedural redesign and cross-training initiative to ensure a smooth transition and improved efficiency. Collaborative training will enable team members to handle various aspects of the process, minimizing bottlenecks caused by dependencies on specific positions.
- Workday Optimization and Analytics Team Realignment: The Workday optimization and analytics team will now report directly to the HR Managing Director. This change can provide better support for HR needs and enhance overall process efficiency.
- Establishment of an HR Strike Team: An HR Strike Team is charged with supporting hiring managers and reducing R2H time. This team will consist of three specialized workgroups, each assigned distinct tactics, such as training, tools and resources, and optimization.
In addition to structural changes, HR emphasizes the importance of radical simplicity in solutions, leveraging technology and AI to enhance human interaction rather than replace it. By weaving ACC’s values into hiring tools and practices, HR aims to empower hiring managers and interviewers to actively promote ACC as an ideal workplace.
All ACC employees are invited to share suggestions, questions, and experiences to help elevate the hiring experience for both job applicants and hiring managers. Feedback can be submitted by emailing [email protected].
