ACC Student Technology Services (STS) is offering training opportunities to help students with some of the most common issues they face. Students who need assistance with borrowing technology or using Office 365, ACC Self-Service, or Zoom can register for an upcoming training session on the topic in November.

All sessions are 30 minutes long with additional time for questions and hands-on assistance.

Self-Service & eID Overview

Date: Tuesday, November 7
Time: 11 a.m.
Location: South Austin Campus Computer Center, Room 1201.6 

This training will provide an overview of Self-Service for students as well as an overview of eID including the importance of having security (authentication) questions set up.

Troubleshooting Issues with your Zoom Class 

Date: Wednesday, November 8
Time: 10 a.m.
Location: Round Rock Computer Center, Room 1315

This training will offer tips for Zoom class meetings as well as tips for dealing with potential issues when trying to join a Zoom class.

Borrowing or Extending Technology Checkouts 

Date: Wednesday, November 8
Time: 10 a.m. in English and 10:45 a.m. in Spanish
Location: Northridge Computer Center, Room 1203

This session will provide an overview of the types of technology that can be borrowed from Student Technology Services as well as how to extend current technology checkout(s) for another semester.

Office 365 Installation and Overview of Differences from the Desktop Version

Time: 11 a.m.
Location: Hays Computer Center, Room 1309

Did you know that ACC students can get Microsoft Office 365 for free? This session will show students how to sign up for and install Office 365 for free as well as the differences between the desktop version of Microsoft Office 2019 (installed in ACC’s computer centers) and Office 365.
