ACC’s Military Families Center is getting closer to opening its doors with construction nearing completion.
The Center is committed to supporting service members and their families across all military branches in Central Texas, providing them with a welcoming space to connect to important academic and workforce programs, network, and find community resources.
The Military Families Center will be co-located with the college’s Veterans Resource Center at ACC Highland Campus, Building 4000.
“We want the space to be where veteran students, families, and service members want to spend time. Our goal is to convey a welcoming and friendly environment for all,” says Vanessa Errico, Military Families Center manager.
To develop the look and feel of the combined space, the Center partnered with ACC’s Art Department. They will issue a call to ACC students, staff, and faculty to submit unique artwork for the space.
A grand opening ceremony for the Center is scheduled for early 2024.
