Austin Community College District (ACC) celebrated the college’s 50th anniversary at “50 Years Later: A Riverbat Homecoming Fest.” More than 2,500 past, present, and future Riverbats stopped by the ACC Highland Campus on Saturday, September 23.

Visitors participated in studio tours, program exhibits and demonstrations, entertainment, and live forums. There were more than 100 programs and partners at the event.

The event also celebrated the grand opening of the Make It Center. The 10,000-square-foot center provides innovative hands-on career exploration, imagination, engagement, and connection. The center will allow individuals to discover ways to make it in Central Texas by connecting interests, strengths, and income goals.
