Mark your calendars and save the date for a week of events honoring the 50th anniversary of Austin Community College District (ACC).
ACC Homecoming Week is Sunday, September 17, through Saturday, September 23.
On September 17, 1973, the college opened its doors for the first fall semester. The special date will be honored this year with an ACC Go Purple! Night. Designated campus lights across the district will light up purple this evening.
Beginning Monday, September 18, campuses districtwide will host celebrations and events on their campus. The campus events will continue through the week until Friday, September 22.
On Saturday, September 23, ACC will host a large community celebration at ACC Highland Campus.
Campuses will soon begin coordinating events for their communities. All ideas are welcomed, and mini-grants are available. To submit an idea, click here.
Watch for more details about events and activities planned for each campus and for more information about the communitywide ACC Homecoming Day on the ACC 50th Anniversary website at austincc.edu/50th.
