Austin Community College District (ACC) celebrated major milestones at its 2023 spring commencement ceremony. More than 2,740 graduates were invited to participate and hundreds attended to walk the stage.

In addition, the college hosted a number of events for graduates of its programs including pinning ceremonies for health sciences and graduation celebrations for its student groups, including Ascender and BRASS. Read more about these moments below. 


Ascender held its closing ceremony at the ACC Eastview Campus, Friday, May 5. Over 200 students, families, professors, advisors, mentors, and administrators gathered to commemorate their first year of college of Ascender students. Read more here.


ACC’s Black Representation of Achievement Through Student Support (BRASS) program held its graduation reception Friday, May 5, at ACC Rio Grande Campus. The reception, hosted in partnership with the Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Campus Center (THRT), highlighted the accomplishments of Black/African-American students at ACC. 22 students were recognized. Family, friends, faculty, and staff were in attendance to celebrate their achievements. Read more here.


Austin Community College District’s (ACC) Skills, Training, and Education for Personal Success (STEPS) program held its graduation ceremony Thursday, May 11, at ACC Northridge Campus. The reception highlighted the accomplishments of the 24 graduates in the program. Read more here.
