It is important to dispose of sensitive personal records — including banking, tax, and medical records — carefully and securely. The Austin chapter of ARMA, along with Balcones Resources, invite ACC faculty and staff to participate in free Spring Shred Day Saturday, June 10, 2023.
Spring Shred Day
Date: Saturday, June 10, 2023 (New Date!)
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: Balcones Resources, 9301 Johnny Morris Rd., Austin, Texas
The requirements for shredding are as follows:
• Dry paper only. Paper that has been stored outside and is wet cannot be shredded until it is completely free of moisture.
• Must be packed in cardboard boxes no larger than 24in x 24in x 36in. Boxes must have fitted lids or should be securely closed using box flaps. (Please do not tape boxes shut.)
What will not be accepted:
• Documents packed in hard plastic bins, plastic bags, or any other form of storage container.
• Electronic media (floppy disks, CD/DVDs), batteries, or any form of binders (three-ring, spiral).
All shredded material and cardboard boxes are recycled. Monetary donations will be accepted, with proceeds going to the Austin ARMA Chapter and a local charity (to be determined).
