May is designated as Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States. ACC commemorates the month with a series of events to explore different AAPI-themed topics and interests.

“This year, we are looking forward to promoting awareness of the AAPI community’s diverse experiences, fostering a sense of belonging by sharing AAPI stories, cultures, and histories, and recognizing issues that are affecting the AAPI community,” says Lynn Lau, ACC AAPI Cultural Center director.

The events are hosted by the college’s AAPI Cultural Center in partnership with ACC’s Culinary Arts Department; Clinical Counseling Services; and Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Center. Participants can enjoy a comedy night, film screening, culinary demonstrations, and more.
