Going beyond the classroom, ACC students can debut their work to the community. ACC’s Drama department hosts “Just How It Is,” a staged reading of a play written by ACC Drama student Chloe Nichols, at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 13, at ACC Highland Campus, Black Box Theatre.

The event is part of ACC’s Makers and Methods series. The series is designed to take students outside the classroom into real-world opportunities through workshops, performance and design panel discussions, and seminars.

“The goal is educational. Trying to find programming that enhances our classroom and production work and allows our students to connect with the professional theater world and practices in performance and design,” says Jamie Rogers, ACC Associate Professor.

The Makers and Methods also offers a virtual series, Conversation with Artists, hosted by Florinda Bryant on the ACC Drama Digital Green Room on YouTube.
